How this month flew by! I hope December was filled with laughter, joy and peace for you. I hope you made great memories with your loved ones and you are ending the decade on a high note.
This month, I have some great things to share with you!
- First, I finished a couple of books that were for sure in my top 10 for the year. The first was The War That Saved My Life by Kimberly Brubaker Bradley. I would recommend this one for adults all the way down to middle school age kids. It is about a disabled girl whose mother is ashamed of her and abuses her. When WWII begins and children were sent out of London, the girl and her brother are fostered by a kind woman. It is a sweet story of love and triumph.
- Another book I LOVED this month is The Dutch House by Ann Patchett. With this one, I recommend you listen to the audio version. Tom Hanks recorded it, and he did a fabulous job! This is a family saga, with love and heartbreak woven into the tale. The family home becomes almost a character in itself, as it is such an integral part of the family’s story. Listen to Tom Hanks perform this one!
- We found these Brazi Bites at our grocery store a few months ago and our family loves them! In fact, as I’m writing this I decided to bake some for a snack. 🙂 Our regular grocery store carries them in the frozen aisle by the bread and Whole Foods also sells them. We like the cheddar & parmesan version the most!
- This song is so beautiful. It has been on repeat for me! Thank goodness we have a God who never stops fighting for us.
- By far, the BEST thing I did this year was read the Bible chronologically and listen to The Bible Recap podcast, which summarized the daily reading. I cannot recommend this highly enough to everyone. The reading and podcast took me about 15-20 minutes a day. You can choose to listen to everything and it’s all free (or you can support through Patreon, for extra bonuses). Doing this was life-changing for me, and increased my Bible knowledge by about 1,000%. Join me in 2020! Just click the link above to get all the info, or ask me any questions you may have.
