November Favorites

We are in the midst of my favorite time of year! I hope this season brings you joy, too. If you are in need of gift ideas, be sure to check out my 2021 Gift Guide for some great businesses to support.

I love sharing some of my favorite things with you each month in hopes that you might be inspired or experience some joy from them, too. I’d love to know what some of your favorite things are right now, so leave a comment if you’d like to share!

  • I bought these Progress earrings from Dear Mushka this month and love them! They are simple and light. Priced at $21, these would make a great gift for someone! I love that all of Dear Mushka’s jewelry comes with a verse card, so whenever I put a piece on each day, I read the verse and am reminded of God’s goodness throughout the day! The verse for these earrings is Philippians 1:6, “And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.”
  • Rakuten is a cash back website where you can shop online using their affiliate links and receive cash back on some purchases. I have used Rakuten for the last five years (mostly at Christmas) and this past year, I received $167 back from them. It’s not going to make you rich, but if you use their links for purchases you are already making, it can add up. Not every retail site offers cash back through Rakuten, but those that do offer between 1% and 20% cash back. If you use my referral link , right now they are offering to pay you $40 when you sign up and make a $40 purchase, and I will get a $40 referral cash back as well. It’s a win-win!
  • The books I have read this year mostly fell below my expectations, so this one was a pleasant surprise. I don’t typically read Stephen King novels because I don’t like being scared, but his newest book, Billy Summers, was really great! The characters and writing were so well done, and they kept my attention the whole way through the (long) book. While there were a few darker topics, they were not presented too graphically, and the book was not horror fiction.
  • The music of Taylor Swift can be a little polarizing for people, but I have to say I have been loving her re-released Red (Taylor’s Version) album. We have listened to this album many, many times this month.
  • A close second on my playlist this month was Mike Donehey’s album, Flourish. Mike used to be in the band, Tenth Avenue North. On this Christian album, my favorite songs are Glory I Couldn’t See (and Glory Reprise–wow!) and Abundance.
