October Favorites

I’m starting something new around here – a monthly favorites list! I think this type of list is so fun. Hopefully, it will inspire you and give you great ideas for books, podcasts, products and more!

At the end of each month, I plan to post a list of a few items, describe why I love them and link to them. I am not affiliated with any of these items – I just love them! But if I do ever become affiliated with a product I am recommending, I will tell you.

So let’s get started!

  • Dear Mushka, — I adore their jewelry because every piece is designed with a Bible verse in mind. I recently ordered the Guard necklace (verse Philippians 4:6-7) for a friend and love it. Katie’s stories on Instagram are fantastic, too.
  • I have used the Living Well Planner for the last two years and love it. I love the monthly goal setting section and how the weekly pages are laid out for your daily schedule, to-do list, and meal planning (I use that section to track my workouts). Each month also has a budgeting page and project planning worksheet. Now is the time to order to be ready for the new year! I’ve already ordered mine for 2020, but am eyeing this new navy edition. 🙂
  • Are you guys as hooked on podcasts as I am? My list keeps growing, and I currently listen to about 25 regularly. Podcasts are fantastic because they are free and they can teach, inspire and entertain. I use the Apple Podcasts app to subscribe and listen. The two I’m mentioning this week are The Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey and The Next Right Thing with Emily P. Freeman. Jamie interviews a Christian woman each week and her show is so inspiring! Emily has the most soothing voice, and her short weekly podcast helps us to make good decisions.
  • This month in a book club, I read Confident Moms, Confident Daughters: Helping Your Daughter Live Free from Insecurity and Love How She Looks by Maria Furlough. My favorite quote is “May we take them up under our own confident wing, may we model for them what humble confidence looks like, and may our lives be a constant reminder of the importance of godly confidence.” This book tackles important body issues and encourages discussions about them with our daughters. I love the idea of humble confidence and highly recommend this book.
  • I have tried many lotions and creams to soften the heels of my feet and the Honey House Naturals Bee Bar is my favorite by far. Nothing else I’ve tried works as well as this. I use it before bed 2-3 times a week and it works wonders on my dry heels. Their lip butter and lotions are also great!

Those are my October favorites! In celebration of the fall season and the beginning of my new monthly favorites series, I have a giveaway! Leave a comment below and let me know something you are loving right now. On November 10, I will draw one name from those who have commented and send that lucky person a Honey House Natural Small Bee Bar (vanilla scent).
