What a month it has been! I don’t know about you, but I am ready for spring to arrive. I love when the grass turns green again and flowers begin to bloom after the winter season.
I love sharing some of my favorite things with you each month! I’d love for you to leave a comment and share what you are loving these days.
- I joined The Balanced Life last September and have been loving it ever since. The Balanced Life offers an online library of pilates classes ranging from 10-45 min in length. The main instructor, Robin Long, is fun and encouraging, and she films most of the classes on a California beach, which is a definite draw for me. I have experienced more strength and flexibility, as well as better posture, from consistently doing these short pilates workouts 3-5 times per week. The Balanced Life is hosting a free 5-day “Feel Good” pilates challenge beginning Monday, March 1, if you are interested in trying it out.
- I love following Jennifer Todryk (@TheRamblingRedhead) on Instagram. She is so funny and shares about home decor, style and family life. Her Instagram account got even better this week when their family of five got a new puppy (@garytodryk). If you’re not on Instagram, her home renovation show “No Demo Reno” will air on HGTV on March 25, so you can watch her there.
- This One Pot Greek Chicken and Orzo from Creme de la Crumb is so delicious and easy to make! I am a big fan of lemon flavor in food, and this dish delivers. It’s also easily adaptable with her suggestions.
- One of my favorite decorating experts is Myquillyn Smith, aka “The Nester” or “The Cozy Minimalist.” Her book Welcome Home is a fantastic resource for decorating a home and space for the seasons in simple, stylish ways. She introduced me to the concept of using all five senses to make our home feel cozy and seasonal. I have never been very good at decorating, but Myquillyn has such simple, inexpensive ideas that always inspire me. She is also great to follow on Instagram (@thenester).
- This lemon juicer was recommended by Bri McKoy and it is so good. I’m not generally a big fan of kitchen devices, but I get a lot of use out of this one! It is easy to use and successfully gets all of the juice out of the lemon halves.
