January Favorites

Does anyone else feel like January took three months to get through? It was a good month, but it just felt so long. We are halfway through winter, and my favorites this month include a few things that I am finding joy in during this colder season.

  • I started the He’s Where the Joy Is Bible study by Tara-Leigh Cobble with a few family members this month and am loving it! It is a study on the Trinity of God, and I love how TLC works in so many different facets to learn from–scripture memorization, studying a chapter of the Bible per day, other Bible study and her commentary, a prayer walk, optional video and group questions. I definitely recommend doing this in a group with others, even it is just a group call at the end of each week.
  • I ordered this Athleta Coaster Luxe Sweat Shirt and it is so incredibly soft! I absolutely love wearing it and feel so warm and cozy in it. I like the longer sleeves and split side detail, too. If you can catch it on sale, even better.
  • After hearing many people mention Wordle, I had to check it out. This word game is so fun and challenging! You get six tries to guess the word of the day. I love that there is a limit to it.
  • I bought this Lily Pullover Sweater from ABLE a couple of months ago and love it! The material is not scratchy like many sweaters, and I love the split sides on it, too. I love supporting ABLE, who employs women to empower them and help them out of poverty.
  • I was given this James Avery bracelet as a Christmas gift and I love it so much! I now wear it daily as a simple reminder of God’s love, faithfulness and presence.
  • I don’t typically read mysteries, but I read The Guest List by Lucy Foley this month and really enjoyed it! The storyline jumps back and forth from current day wedding festivities on a remote island off the coast of Ireland to prior histories of the guests. It held my attention and I raced through it to find out what happened.
  • I ordered this puzzle by Magic Puzzle Company this month and found it to be a lot of fun! The company has some different features to make their puzzles stand out, including a surprise at the end. I also loved the feel of the pieces. The puzzle would have been a little more fun if we hadn’t discovered we were missing three pieces at the end. The likely culprit is our dog Bailee, but she is blaming our robot vacuum. 😉
