September Favorites

Happy fall, y’all! Being from the south, that phrase makes me happy. 🙂

I am so excited that fall is here! I love the recipes, fall leaves changing colors, reading beside the fireplace and watching some sports. Let’s focus on the good and hold on to our joy, shall we?

I love sharing a few favorites with you each month and hope that my recommendations will bring you as much joy as they bring me. I would love to know what you’re most interested in (book recs, recipes, music, products, etc.), so leave a comment if you’d like to let me know.

  • These gluten-free Pumpkin Spiced Icebox Cookies from Fed and Fit are my very favorite fall cookie. We already made them this month, and in our family we love to eat the dough as much as the baked cookies. They are so delicious!
  • If you know me, then you know how much I LOVE the musical Hamilton. I included it on my July Favorites and it is a highlight of 2020 for me. JOHNNYSWIM performed a cover of the song “Dear Theodosia” and I am playing this beautiful version on repeat around here!
  • I have another fall recipe to share from Cassy Joy Garcia at Fed and Fit. This one is her Paleo Bison Chili, and the flavor is superb! I use beef instead of bison and serve it over rice, but this recipe can be customized to be made however you like it best.
  • One of my major goals this year (and for the last 8 years, to be honest) was to get my digital photos organized on my Mac computer. For many reasons, it had become an insurmountable task in my mind and I had put it off for years. I heard an interview with Miss Freddy last year on the 10 Things To Tell You Podcast (episode 41 Tips to Organize Your Photos), bought one of her courses (Backup Bootcamp), and this year I got my photos organized! Miss Freddy was on the podcast again this month (episode 82 Create a Family Yearbook) talking about digital photo books and it was another fantastic interview. Miss Freddy is a wealth of knowledge in the photo organizing area. I highly recommend her courses, as well as following her (@miss.freddy) for great information.

I hope you get to enjoy some of my September Favorites! Drop a comment and let me know what one of your current favorite things is, or let me know what categories you most like for me to share about (recipes, book recs, podcasts, etc.).

Until next time, I hope you find small things that bring you great joy!
