September Favorites

Happy fall, my friends! I hope you are enjoying some cooler weather! I am looking forward to making my favorite tortilla soup once it cools down a bit more. In the meantime, I have begun decorating my house for fall, listening to my fall playlist and diffusing or burning fall scents.

I hope you enjoy my September Favorites and get inspired to think about what you are loving currently. Feel free to share one of your favorite things in the comments!

  • I am a big fan of this Rachel Wristlet by Able. It the perfect size to fit my phone and a few items in for a date or quick getaway. I most recently used it when I went to a conference and it slipped easily into my book bag. The quality of Able products is wonderful, and their story makes me feel good about purchasing from them.
  • I’ve talked about Dazzle Dry nail polish before in my February 2020 Favorites. It is my favorite because it is non-toxic and long-lasting (7-10 days for me). This month, I have been in love with their Red Rouge shade. It is perfect for the fall!
  • I discovered the Parenting Today’s Teens podcast recently and have been bingeing the episodes to gain parenting wisdom. Mark Gregston has such a practical perspective on parenting and offers wonderful insight from a Christian point of view. The podcast has been so helpful to me.
  • So many of the phone cases out there offer little to no protection, it seems. When I last searched for a new phone case, I didn’t want one that was too bulky, but wanted some level of protection for when I drop my phone. I ordered the “Bold” style from Casely and love it so much. I use it with a screen protector and have had no problems so far. I would definitely recommend this case and will repurchase from Casely when it’s time for a new phone case.
  • The Libby app (through a partnership with my local library) has revitalized my reading life. I love to read, but do not like to buy a book unless I know I might want to keep it for future reference, pass it along to a friend or support the author. Through the Libby app, I can check out digital or audio books from my local library, then read them through the Libby or Kindle apps, or listen to audiobooks on the Libby app. It saves me so much money and hassle, and has allowed me to greatly expand my reading options. I am limited to the books that my library offers, but if you are a member of a larger city library, they will likely offer most of the more popular books. I have seen that smaller towns’ libraries join together to offer a wider range of options.
  • I ordered the AromaTech Santal oil for my diffuser on a recommendation from Melanie Shankle, and it is a great scent for fall! It says it is a blend of Cardamom, Papyrus and Musk, with leather and smoke undertones. We love it!
